1966 Gibson ES-175D Hollowbody Tobacco Sunburst
1966 Gibson ES-175D Hollowbody Tobacco Sunburst
The Gibson ES-175 stands as one of the most iconic jazz guitars in history. This is a remarkable example of a mid-60s ES-175 is not something come across every day!
It showcases the laminate maple full-hollow body and Florentine cutaway with a classic Tobacco burst, offering excellent sustain and comfortable playing. The mahogany neck features a medium 'C' profile, and the rosewood fingerboard showcases elegant parallelogram inlays. Equipped with two ‘Patent-Number’ humbucker pickups, this ES-175 embodies the classic period sound, delivering warm jazzy tones from the neck pickup and a brighter twang from the bridge. Despite some minor finish checking, given that the guitar is nearly 60 years old, it's already in excellent condition.
