Original Series - the 25

The 25 was often thought of as THE Lowden. Nowadays with many more new models it is not possible to say which would be THE Lowden, but the 25 has character in bags. It is rich, full-bodied, warm and powerful.

A great instrument: clear tones, well balanced and focus. On top of that one can expect excellent craftsmanship! The price/quality performance is excellent. The Lowden F25 is build with high quality and solid AAA Indian Rosewood and Red Cedar. This combination delivers a full, responsive and clear sound with excellent string separation. The low action is perfect for fingerstyle and jazz players who need string definition, beautiful harmonics and sustain. The Cedar soundboard, generally speaking as no two woods are the same, is less stiff than the commonly used Sitka Spruce, which allows the strings to sparkle delivering excellent responsiveness of each string when played softly, lending itself to delicate fingerstyle guitar playing. The sound of the F25 is beautiful and unique. The Indian rosewood back and sides give this Lowden a crystal clear high and a big, but defined low. The cedar top softens the response and balances the pronounced low and high into a great mix of both.
